The workshop have been diving into the repairs for the 2002 Ford Thunderbird here at the Bridge Classic Cars HQ. To carry out the repairs, the team have had to teardown and remove the steering coulmn to get to the areas.
‘Plug in and check and clear codes. Strip and remove steering column cowling to access column adjuster switch. Steering wheel needs to come off but won’t. Start to make puller.’
‘Finish making puller and try. Bent tool trying. Replicate quickly main piece and weld together. Try again when cooled.‘
‘Look into door mirrors not working strip down drivers door mirror and free off motors. Stro down mirror switch clean all connections and refit mirrors working’
