Our 2010 Renault Wind has been in the care of technician Jon recently. He first checked all lights and fluid levels, topping up the engine oil and coolant where required, and inflating the tyres to the correct pressures. He then moved on to the rear brakes, stripping them down before fitting new discs and pads, making sure everything was correctly aligned as he reassembled the components.
With the new parts in place, Jon torqued the rear hub nuts to 175Nm and fitted new dust caps before refitting the wheels and tightening them to 110Nm. He then pumped the brake pedal and operated the handbrake to confirm proper function and ensure the system had settled correctly.
Having noted the condition of the front braking components during his inspection, Jon arranged for new front discs and pads to be ordered so the work could be completed as soon as possible.
