As the team draw closer and closer to finishing the 1969 Audi L, there are a few small jobs that need to be sorted before it leaves the Bridge Classic Cars restoration HQ. One of those, is rebuilding the Solex cabrurettor.
‘Remove air box, remove fuel lines and water lines to carburettor, remove throttle linkage from carburettor, remove carburettor, with carb on the bench strip right down, clean out float bowl and clean off throttle butterflies, clean out jets and make sure they are not blocked, Finish cleaning jets and making sure they are not blocked, clean up outside body of carburettor, rebuild carburettor, refit to car, refit fuel and water lines to carb, top up water lost, refit air box.’
