The restoration of our 1987 Maserati BiTurbo is progressing along thanks to our technicians here at the Bridge Classic Cars workshop. Jon, one of our amazing technicians, has been working on Saturday’s to get the iconic BiTurbo back together better than before. This time, Jon has been working on a rear brake rebuild for the car.
”Remove old handbrake cable and compare with new. Slightly different butshould be OK. Secure to backplate and rear arms. Route through rod to lever and loosely bolt up. Clean handbrake shoes and springs. Fit handbrake pivot and then shoes. Secure shoes and fit adjuster. Clean discs and fit. Adjust hand brake shoes. Repeat for other side and then test handbrake. Readjust via cable to set at 3 to 4 clicks. Waiting for calipers to finish rear brakes. Apply sealer and fit both exhaust downpipes to manifolds. Find new hosts and secure. Fit new anti roll bar clamp bracket to offside front. Get into position and bolt up tight. Noticed nearside captive nut missing from chassis so will have to be sorted.”
