The Bridge Classic Cars team have been moving at quite the pace on the 1978 Mercedes 350SL restoration here at our Suffolk HQ. Ben and Steve have been busy building up the front suspension, all freshly refurbished and in place including brake calipers, pads and discs, while the’ve also been going through the wiring harness to reference the various connectors that will be needed and the overall condition of the harness. Meanwhile, our logisitics coordinator Tony has taken the gearbox to a trusted specialist to have the gearbox gone through and appraised.
At the back end, Ben has made new differential mounts for the car as well as Steve completely refurbishing the rear drive shafts which have been cleaned, blasted, cleaned again, and then paint and reassembled with new grease, boots and clips.
