Where would you typically wear a watch?
  • On your feet
  • On your wrist
  • On your head

Created in partnership with Classic Team Lotus, the 98T/4 chronograph is Swiss-made and made using material from Ayrton Senna’s Lotus 98T chassis number 4, one of the most important Formula One cars of the turbo era. This exact car was raced by Senna during the final eight Grands Prix of the 1986 season.

The Lotus 98T was the last Lotus Formula One car to feature the iconic black and gold John Player Special livery, and it was also the final turbocharged car Senna drove before regulation changes.

Each tachymeter chapter ring is made from the original aluminium plenum tubes of chassis number 4, with every piece authenticated by Classic Team Lotus. It has a Swiss-made, integrated column-wheel chronograph with automatic winding, a 62-hour power reserve, and a smooth, high-frequency 4Hz beat. Time is displayed centrally with a small seconds sub-dial at 6 o’clock, alongside 60-second and 30-minute chronograph counters.

The 39.7mm stainless-steel case features domed sapphire crystals on the front and rear, with an exhibition caseback engraved with its individual serial number. Super-Luminova on the hands and indices ensures clarity, and the quick-release leather strap means you could wear the watch every day if you wanted. It is also water-resistant up to 100 metres.

Licensed and approved by Classic Team Lotus Ltd.

  • Made from Ayrton Senna’s Lotus 98T chassis number 4
  • Authenticated by Classic Team Lotus
  • Swiss Made
  • Only 989 of these watches will ever be made
