Derek Bell MBE – a true hero in the world of motorsport with a career spanning throughout the heyday of racing. Winning the 24 hours of Le Mans a sensational 5 times throughout his career, he is the most successful British driver at the Circuit De La Sarthe. He accomplished some incredible feats with the likes of Ferrari, McLaren and most famously as a factory driver for Porsche, in both Formula 1, Sportscar and Prototype racing. To celebrate this, Classic Racing Spirit commissioned a beautiful limited edition 80 piece run of ‘Endurance Pole Position Derek Bell Gin’ featuring a bespoke handcrafted case from world renowned sculptor Gregory Percival.

The sculpture which houses the Endurance Pole Position gin, is based on the timeless design of the Porsche 917K as campaigned by John Wyer Racing in the 1971 season. Finished in the classic Gulf Racing colours of Orange and Blue, the sculpture shows the battle scars and wear which the car endured (all with its drivers) during that legendary race.

The taste of this gin features a hint of orange, paying homage to that signature racing livery which adorned the most famous of the Porsche 917’s.
