As part of our commitment to sustainability, we run all of our competition cars on synthetic fuel. This is a like-for-like fossil-free alternative to petrol that reduces emissions by up to 80%. This can be mixed with traditional petrol and no modifications to the car are required. You can fuel this car with traditional petrol – we simply use synthetic fuel as part of our sustainability goals.

In the lead-up to the 2000 British Grand Prix at Silverstone, Jaguar saw the perfect opportunity to mark its return to Formula 1. With Eddie Irvine and Johnny Herbert behind the wheel for the team, Jaguar released a special model: the Limited Edition XKR Silverstone.

Only 100 of these cars were made, split evenly between coupes and convertibles, and were finished in Platinum silver. Unique Silverstone badging, a “smoke” stained maple veneer dash, and a sports interior with contrasting leather piping made it visually different to the standard model.

Jaguar’s Special Vehicle Operations team upgraded the chassis and braking system, adding Brembo brakes and the advanced CATS system, as well as 20-inch BBS “Detroit” alloy wheels, which wore ultra-low-profile Pirelli PZero tyres

Our 2000 Jaguar XKR Silverstone was made in April 2000, making it one of the original 100 “phase 1” cars. It has a 370bhp supercharged 4.0-litre AJ-V8 engine, which is also found in the standard XKR.

It comes with a substantial history file containing invoices, service records, and original sale details.
