This car can be run on synthetic fuel as well as traditional petrol.
As part of our commitment to sustainability, we run all of our competition cars on synthetic fuel. This is a like-for-like fossil-free alternative to petrol that reduces emissions by up to 80%. This can be mixed with traditional petrol and no modifications to the car are required. You can fuel this car with traditional petrol – we simply use synthetic fuel as part of our sustainability goals.

TVR has always had a bit of a reputation for doing things differently. Founded in Blackpool in 1947, the brand has weathered its fair share of ups and downs, but along the way, it created some of the UK’s most iconic lightweight sports cars, with the Chimaera certainly being one of them.

Powered by the Rover V8 and built with robust, straightforward mechanics wrapped in a fibreglass body, the Chimaera is simple but a lot of fun. Underneath, it shared its tubular chassis with the Griffith, but with softer suspension and a bit more interior and boot space, it became the more comfortable grand touring option from TVR.

Our 1999 TVR Chimaera 400 has covered just 26,000 miles from new and comes with a substantial history file of invoices, receipts, MOT certificates, and service details.

The silver over red is an eye-catching colour combination and will certainly make a statement on the road or at car shows.
