Our 1993 Ford Escort XR3i is the performance variant of the Escort lineup of the early nineties.

It has a 1.8-litre engine, delivering 130 hp at 6,250 rpm in its day. This gave the XR3I a 0–60 mph time of around 10 seconds and a top speed close to 123 mph. 

The five-speed manual gearbox sends the power to the front wheels to offer relatively direct feedback and improved handling. Particularly when compared to earlier models. This generation of XR3i also benefited from a lower sports suspension, alloy wheels, full disc brakes, and a more aggressive aerodynamic kit including spoilers and side skirts.
