This car can be run on synthetic fuel as well as traditional petrol.
As part of our commitment to sustainability, we run all of our competition cars on synthetic fuel. This is a like-for-like fossil-free alternative to petrol that reduces emissions by up to 80%. This can be mixed with traditional petrol and no modifications to the car are required. You can fuel this car with traditional petrol – we simply use synthetic fuel as part of our sustainability goals.

Our 1971 Leyland Mini Van is a rare Australian-assembled example, built by the British Leyland Motor Corporation of Australia Ltd. in September 1971. This model was produced exclusively in Australia and became the only Clubman-fronted Mini Van manufactured anywhere in the world.

The van was imported into the United Kingdom in October 2016. Following importation, the Mini underwent a comprehensive restoration to original specification. East Anglian Mini Centre carried out the body restoration, recreating the Australian-specific panels and structural details unique to this model.

The engine and gearbox, including the Australian-cast MOWOG components and 1098cc A-series unit, were rebuilt to factory specification by Allitt Motor Services. Interior trim, correct to the 1971 Australian pattern was supplied by Newton Commercial.

Our Mini Van has various components unique to Australian-market Minis, including the Clubman front end, exterior and interior door hardware, Australian-style scuttle and slam panels, quarter-lights, protective fuel and brake-line channels, and the Australian-cast rocker cover.

In 2018, it was featured in MiniWorld magazine, where it was celebrated for its rarity and the accuracy of its restoration.
