Launched in 1959, the Jaguar MkII quickly became one of the brand’s most popular sports saloons.
Building on the foundations of the MkI, the MkII introduced a more sophisticated monocoque body, complete with independent coil-and-wishbone front suspension, a Panhard rod-located live rear axle, and four-wheel disc brakes – all cutting-edge for the time.
It also had Jaguar’s proven XK straight-six engine, available in 2.4, 3.4, or 3.8-litre form.
Our 1965 Jaguar MkII is one of the 3.4-litre variants and is finished in Green over a Green interior. It was first registered in March 1965 and comes with a decent history file containing invoices, past MOT certificates, and its original service book.
Since being in the Bridge Classic Cars workshop, it has undergone some bodywork repairs, has had new carpets fitted, and other work to bring it to the standard you see today.
The winner of our 1965 Jaguar Mk2 will also get up to £250 towards a car insurance policy arranged by high-net-worth car insurance specialists, Lancaster Insurance Services.
