Our 1960 MGA 1600 Coupe is finished in the popular Chariot Red, over a black leather interior with red piping.
The car has been with its previous owner for around 30 years and comes with a comprehensive service history dating back to 1984. That paperwork highlights lots of regular care, with both cosmetic and mechanical work consistently completed by marque specialists.
In the early 1990s our MGA had a complete engine rebuild and full structural restoration, with invoices totalling £16,300 at the time, the equivalent of around £39,500 today. Much of this work was carried out by respected East Anglian MG specialists, MG Mecca.
Other work includes a wire wheel conversion and Waxoyl treatment in 1996, carburettor rebuild in 2007, a respray in 2018, new windscreen and headlining in 2019, plus a new radiator, clutch, and more recent electrical work.
It has been upgraded for modern use with a 12v alternator conversion and inertia reel seatbelts.

As part of our commitment to sustainability, we run all of our competition cars on synthetic fuel. This is a like-for-like fossil-free alternative to petrol that reduces emissions by up to 80%. This can be mixed with traditional petrol and no modifications to the car are required. You can fuel this car with traditional petrol – we simply use synthetic fuel as part of our sustainability goals.
