FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
January 2026 – Bridge Classic Cars has launched a new Theatre in Education school tour, bringing live performance, storytelling and hands-on learning into primary schools across Suffolk, completely free of charge.
Running from March, the programme combines theatre, history, engineering and sustainability through an original production called The Story of Rilee. The show introduces pupils to Rilee, a 1905 classic car brought back to life, using storytelling to explore how vehicles from the past can still have a place in a more sustainable future.
Presented by technicians, Max and Molly, played by professionally trained actors, the interactive experience includes a 45-minute live performance followed by workshop activities suited to curriculum topics including history, design & technology, problem-solving and environmental responsibility.
Designed for Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 pupils, the project is delivered by Bridge Classic Cars Kids, the educational part of the Suffolk-based classic car restoration company, and builds on the business’s wider commitment to sustainability, education and community engagement.
“We wanted to create something that genuinely excites children while still delivering real educational value. Theatre is a powerful way to connect with young audiences, and Rilee gives us a friendly, engaging way to talk about history, innovation and the choices we make about the future.”
Craig Ranson, Managing Director of Bridge Classic Cars.
Importantly, the tour is free for schools, made possible through support from Bridge Classic Cars and its partners, Lancaster Insurance Services, enable.services, Electronic Terminations, Riduna Holdings, and GB Refinish Supplies LTD. The team is now encouraging schools, parents and supporters to help spread the word and ensure as many children as possible can take part.
Bridge Classic Cars is inviting press, educators and local authorities to get involved, attend performances, and help highlight the importance of creative learning initiatives that connect education with real-world industries.
