Pre Delivery Inspection

Jonn recently carried out a pre-delivery inspection on our 1999 Aston Martin DB7 Vantage. He placed the battery on charge and reassembled the radiator cap. The tyres were inflated to the correct pressure and the wheel nuts torqued accordingly. A road test was then conducted to assess overall performance.

Following the road test, Jonn carried out several minor adjustments. The nearside interior door catch was lubricated and worked back and forth until it operated freely. A new bulb was fitted to the interior light, which was then tested for functionality. To ensure the driver’s seat tips forward when the outer handle is operated, the inner tipping handle was secured in the raised position using a cable tie. He then refitted the trims that had been removed during this process.

New wiper blades were installed before the car was raised on the ramp for an oil and filter change. Although the correct oil filter had not arrived, the existing one was reused. After refitting the bungs, oil was added; however, only half the required amount had been delivered, so additional oil was sourced from stock to complete the fill. Jonn then repaired the connections on the intake pipe breather hose and secured them. The engine was run and tested, confirming all work had been completed satisfactorily.
