Jonn refitted the alternator on our 1973 Porsche 914, beginning by connecting and securing the wiring to the unit before reinstalling the rear cover. Once the alternator was properly mounted, he tensioned the belt accordingly.

He then proceeded with fitting the surrounding trims around the alternator. After reconnecting the battery, Jonn tested the charge rate, confirming a reading of 13.2 volts at idle, which was within acceptable parameters. With the initial testing complete, he disconnected the battery once more and continued refitting the remaining trims to complete the task.
