Singer has unveiled its latest creation, the Porsche 911 Carrera Coupe Reimagined by Singer. Limited to just 100 commissions, it takes its inspiration from the wide-bodied, naturally aspirated 911s of the 1980s, particularly the Carrera with Super Sport Equipment.

Each restoration begins with a donor Porsche 911 of the 964 generation, built between 1989 and 1994. The car is stripped down to its bare chassis, which is then strengthened with a reinforcement package developed alongside Red Bull Advanced Technologies.

“In the 1980’s you could order a new 911 Carrera with the pumped-up bodywork of the Turbo but powered by the company’s latest, naturally aspirated flat six. It became known as the Carrera with Super Sport Equipment. Our services reference this car and celebrate the era with a vision for an ultimate, naturally aspirated, G model 911, reimagined for the twenty-first century. At its heart is a remarkable flat-six, bringing together our learnings from the last fifteen years, and adding variable valve timing for the first time.”

Rob Dickinson – Singer’s Founder, Executive Chairman and Creative Director

Powered by a 4.0-litre naturally aspirated flat-six, developed with Cosworth featuring a hybrid cooling system combining air-cooled cylinders with water-cooled heads. The result is 420hp and a redline above 8,000rpm, sent to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual gearbox.

The suspension setup, adapted from Singer’s turbocharged services, includes four-way electronically adjustable dampers and a nose lift system. The brakes have carbon-ceramic discs, and the 18-inch centre lock wheels have Michelin Pilot Sport tyres. There are also modern driving aids like traction control and stability control, developed in collaboration with Bosch, which are adjustable through five drive modes.

The carbon fibre bodywork has nods to the G-body 911s of the late 1970s and 1980s, with wide arches, a deep front spoiler, and rear cooling intakes. Customers can also choose between a fixed rear wing or an active version, along with optional rising auxiliary lights integrated into the bonnet.

“Together with owners we’re celebrating the heritage of the Porsche 911, both for those who read every press report about their hero cars as kids, and for those who were too young to know about these incredible machines the first time around. We only work with the best, so we’ve developed partnerships with companies that have built their reputations at the very highest levels of motorsport and the automotive world. We’re committed to ensuring that every car restored by Singer is an analogue jewel – beautiful and captivating to drive above all else.”

Mazen Fawaz, Singer’s Chief Strategy Officer

Inside, Singer offers extensive customisation. The two examples shown in the announcement include one finished in Celeste Passalacqua with a Mars Pink interior aimed at touring, and another in Giallo Segnale with a track-focused spec featuring lightweight seats and a rear cross-brace.

Every commission is a bespoke process between Singer and the owner, who selects finishes, components, and details to create a completely unique car.
