PDI, Repairs and Set Up on the 1973 Triumph TR6

Since being won, the 1973 Triumph TR6 has headed from the Classic Lounge over to the Bridge Classic Cars restoration workshop for the team to carry out its PDI as well as any smaller jobs and set up before it heads off to its new home.

‘Carry out PDI and repairs. Lube all door locks and free off. Snap missing for roof on offside B pillar. Fit and rivet on new snap. Lube and work windows. Cable tie wiring under dash. Refit nearside indicator bulb and replace nearside stop and tail bulb and test. Take outside and warm up, but throttle poor. Bring back in and check. Throttle cable deteriorated and fan also spins out of balance. Tighten fan ut still no good. Order new banana throttle cable. Removecarb chambers and pistons. Clean and set jet depths to 1.25mm and rebuild. Run up OK. Wait for new parts.Finish carbs. Set idle etc. Test fully later when new cable arrives.’
