Ben, one of our talented restoration technicians, has been working on the 1969 Aston Martin DB6 Volante. Ben has been fitting some of the interior trims throughout the car before moving onto getting the exhaust of the classic Aston Martin fitted up.

”Cleaning and preparing the exhaust has taken some time. The old exhaust was full of leaks and needed the flexi tubes cutting out and replacing. These were wider than the old ones and pushed the exhaust out making the old clamps unusable. I fabricated some new stainless steel ones using the old fixings. The down pipe flange was too pitted to use so had to be built up with weld and flatted. The diff was filled with the correct oil and the bolts tightened.”
