Our technician Steve has been working through the job list on the 1970 VW Dune Buggy here at the Bridge Classic Cars restoration HQ. Steve has located the source of the reported oil leak to a drive shaft boot seal. Being based on an aircooled Volkswagen, most after market driveshaft boots are a split design with bolts passing through, sometimes due to age or elements, they can lose their seal.

Another job the team have been asked to look into is the non-working speedo. Our technician Steve pulled out the drive unit and spun it with an electric drill – the speedometer wouldn’t read above 10mph. With the guages being electric, Steve will look into recalibration during the cars test drive.
