New fuel tank for the 1966 Land Rover Series 2A

The workshop team have had the 1966 Land Rover Series 2A back into the restoration workshop in order to replace the fuel tank on the classic off-roader.

‘New fuel tank here. Wire brush and lune all fixing bolts. Remove pick up pipe from old tank. Undo and drop old tank. Clean fuel sender and check operation before fitting to new tank. Clean and fit pick up pipe and blanking plate, all with new gaskets and fixings. Wire brush and paint chassis in area inaccessible when tank is fitted. Fit new tank and secure. Secure breather and filler neck pipes. Refill with fuel taken out. Take outside and check guage all ok. Tidy area.’
