Lotus has refreshed its Emira range with the introduction of the new Emira Turbo SE and the Emira V6. These models replace the previous First Editions. If that wasn’t exciting enough, the Turbo SE is actually the fastest Emira to date.
Emira Turbo SE
The Emira Turbo SE’s name pays tribute to Lotus of the past, with a nod to the brand’s early turbocharged models, including the Turbo Esprit from 1980. It also follows Lotus’s tradition of using “SE” to highlight enhanced performance and equipment.
Powered by a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine sourced from AMG, the Turbo SE delivers 400 bhp, an increase of 40 bhp over the previous model, alongside 480 Nm of torque. Paired with an 8-speed dual-clutch gearbox, the car has a 0-62mph (0-100 km/h) time of 4.0 seconds and a top speed of 180mph (290 km/h), making it the fastest Emira ever.

Special Equipment as Standard
The Emira Turbo SE comes equipped with the Lotus Drivers Pack as standard, featuring sports suspension, uprated cross-drilled and ventilated brake discs, and launch control. It also receives aesthetic upgrades, including 20-inch V-spoke forged Satin Grey wheels, Zinc Grey paint, red brake callipers, black Lotus badging, and a distinctive “Emira Turbo SE” badge.
Lotus has priced the new Emira Turbo SE starting at £89,500, with orders now open.
Emira V6
If you prefer a V6 engine, then Lotus is continuing to offer the Emira V6. This model features a supercharged 3.5-litre V6 engine, producing 400 bhp and available with either a six-speed manual or automatic gearbox. It also includes cross-drilled and ventilated two-piece brake discs, Goodyear Eagle F1 SuperSport tyres, a limited-slip differential (LSD) for manual variants, and Touring suspension.
The Emira V6 also receives interior upgrades, with black technical fabric on the headliner, A-pillars, and cantrails. Pricing for the V6 starts at £92,500.

10,000th Emira
Alongside the new model launch, Lotus has celebrated the production of the 10,000th Emira at its Hethel facility.
“The Lotus Emira is the most accomplished Lotus road car ever to roll through the Hethel factory gates. Beautifully proportioned with a stunning design inspired by the Evija all-electric hypercar, it’s the perfect package. The Emira is a junior supercar with all the thrills and head-turning characteristics found in the greatest Lotus cars, but at the same time is an everyday sports car that’s high on comfort and functionality, packed with the latest technology demanded by the discerning driver.”
Matt Windle, Group VP & Managing Director Lotus Cars
