The Bridge Classic Cars team are full steam ahead with the 1953 Aston Martin DB2/4 undergoing its complete ground restoration here at our classic car restoration workshops. Our restoration technicians have been working alongside our fabrication team to make good progress on the 1950’s GT car.
Our restoration technician Steve has been working his way through building up the doors of the car with the door handles in place for the team to begin fitting up the door and window mechanisms. Alongside the door handles, Steve has also been getting the cars window frames into place, using specialised shims to get the spacings and clearances just right for a fit that the team can be proud of before moving onto cleaning up the various switchgear and brightwork for the cars dashboard.
At the same time, the spare wheel carrier of the car has been assembled by our lead fabricator Clinton, using period correct brass rivets to allow the best fit of each component onto the carrier.
