The Bridge Classic Cars team, across every department, have been working hard on our 1969 Audi 70L here at our Suffolk HQ. The restoration team have been busy laying the cars wiring harness through the firewall and throughout the car along with some of the under-bonnet pieces such as the fuse box and the wiper motor.

At the same time that this was going on in our restoration workshops, our paint and body team have been getting the last few bits and pieces painted and readied for the car. The glove box was sandblasted before being cleaned, painted and matte clear coated to look like the original piece, as well as the steering wheel shroud in beautiful gloss black.

While the pieces were getting finished up and polished, the workshop team could get on with some of the mechanical/finishing jobs. The front and rear arches have been undersealed to ensure they will be tough enough for when the car is being used. Meanwhile the cars speedo and clutch cables were put in the car and the fittings for the seats has had all their threads repaired.

Across the workshop, our workshop manager John has been helping out to build up the doors on the car. Each of the doors needed a full set of seals installed into them, however no one actually makes those deals anymore and don’t share them between models. So, our team has been making the entire set of door seals from scratch just for this car.
