The motorsport community is in mourning following a tragic day on 24th May 2025. In the last 24 hours, three separate fatal incidents happened across Europe.
In Scotland, co-driver Dai Roberts lost his life during the Jim Clark Rally near Duns, with driver James Williams sustaining serious injuries. Motorsport UK has launched an investigation into the crash.
At Donington Park in England, veteran driver Julian Grimwade died following a crash during the Vintage Motorsport Festival. Local authorities are conducting inquiries, though no criminal investigation is underway.
Meanwhile in Denmark, a 69-year-old rally official was killed after a competing car struck two marshals during the Nykøbing Falster Motor Sport’s 75th anniversary event. The Danish Automobile Sports Federation is working with authorities to investigate the incident.
