Ben has been reassembling our freshly painted 1980 MG Midget.

Pete has also carried out a strip-down of the driver’s front hub assembly and brakes on the car. The work included replacing the calliper and disc, fitting new brake pads, anti-rattle springs, and split pins. Rusty hub components were painted, while all fixing hardware was cleaned using a wire wheel. The port on the brake pipe bolt was also cleaned.

The wheel arch area was treated with stone guard, and the suspension components were wire-brushed and painted. Additionally, a replacement ball joint rubber was fitted, as the original had split and was leaking. The area is now looking much improved, with the same process to be repeated on the near side.
