MG has revealed two new all-electric models at this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed. The new MG IM5 saloon and MG IM6 SUV fit under MG’s “Intelligence in Motion” banner, which is all about combining cutting-edge tech with performance and everyday usability.
The IM5 is an executive saloon that offers up to 441 miles of range with its 100kWh battery and an 800V architecture capable of 10–80% recharging in 17 minutes. The IM5 is also quick, accelerating from 0-62mph in 3.2 seconds.
That being said, the IM6 SUV isn’t far behind with a 0-62mph time of 3.5 seconds. Both cars are powered by MG’s Hurricane electric motors and feature a digital chassis for sharper handling.

Both models feature a 26.3-inch ultra-HD display, a secondary 10.5-inch touchscreen, and a 20-speaker audio system with four ceiling-mounted “Sky Speakers.”
There are also double-laminated windows, a panoramic roof, and driving aids like Rainy Night Mode and a 360° One Touch Park Assist system that can handle tricky parking jobs autonomously.
Urban driving is also made easier with rear-wheel turning technology. This reduces the IM5’s turning circle to just 9.98 metres.

Buyers can choose between 75kWh and 100kWh battery options, with single or dual-motor configurations. Prices for the IM5 start at £39,450, rising to £48,495 for the Performance spec. The larger IM6 SUV begins at £47,995, with the range topping out at £52,995 for the Launch Edition.
MG Cyberster Black
The Cyberster Black was also on display at the Festival of Speed. Although this is the same Cyberster already available, this model has a matte black finish, which is enhanced with ultra-fine glass particles that shimmer in motion.
Designed by Jozef Kaban, this version of the Cyberster features blacked-out chrome and interior details which add a whole new look to the Cyberster we already know.

Cyber X
The Cyber X concept was also being shown off by MG. This has been designed to be a rugged urban EV with a futuristic edge. Its matte grey paint, pop-up headlights, and compact stance hint at MG’s currently evolving design language and its ambitions for the Cyber sub-brand.
Finally, MG brought back a reimagined icon, the EX4. Based on the 1980s Metro 6R4, this electric rally car concept uses the MG4 XPower drivetrain and has a new livery specially created for the 2025 Festival of Speed.

David Allison Head of Product and Planning for MG
“MG has made EV ownership accessible exciting and different with the MG Cyberster convertible leading the way for the brand. But now, we’re seeking to deliver technology leadership and innovation with MG IM, engaging with customers aspiring for the future, today. This means MG IM5 Long Range can travel up to 441 miles on a single charge with the 100 kWh battery option sitting on a new 800V architecture capable of delivering a 10 to 80 percent charge in just 17 minutes. Exhilarating performance and dynamic handling, which MG will always have a passion for, comes with a digital chassis and truly potent acceleration from the powerful electric Hurricane motors with 0-62mph achieved in just 3.2 seconds for MG IM5, and 3.5 seconds for MG IM6.”
