MG sold 300,000 vehicles across the UK and Europe in 2025. That is an almost 30% increase compared to 2024’s 233,000 sales, and things seem to look positive for the brand as demand continues to grow for its range of petrol, hybrid, and electric vehicles.
Much of this increase in sales has come from the rising popularity of MG’s Hybrid+ models. Sales of hybrid vehicles increased by nearly 300%, reaching 137,000 units year-to-date. The MG HS SUV played an important role in that growth, as did the continuing strength of the MG ZS line-up, which grew by 32% to 123,000 units.
MG also expanded its electric vehicle offering in 2025. New models like the MGS5 EV SUV and the MG IM range all helped. Most recently, the spacious MGS6 EV joined the line-up as another practical option for buyers seeking an all-electric SUV.
MG is now represented in 34 countries across Europe, with around 1,300 retail partners. In the UK alone, the network includes over 150 retailers. A newly opened parts and warehousing centre is also helping support the brand’s growing customer base, now at around 370,000 in the UK.
“Despite ongoing challenges across Europe that continue to influence new vehicle sales, MG has delivered consistent and sustainable growth. Reaching a milestone of 300,000 sales before the end of 2025 clearly demonstrates that our product range resonates strongly with customers, offering the right combination of design, technology, quality and accessibility. With more exciting new models scheduled for launch in early 2026, we are confident that MG will continue to expand customer choice and strengthen its position across European markets.”
