The all-new Mercedes-Benz CLA has been named Car of the Year 2026 by the European Car of the Year jury, at the Brussels Motor Show.

The CLA has been designed to be both intelligent and efficient by combining high-end technology with usual Mercedes styling and performance. It’s the first model built on Mercedes’ new MMA platform, featuring the next-generation MB.OS system and AI-powered MBUX infotainment.

The electric CLA 250+ can cover just under 500 miles (WLTP) on a single charge, and it’s 800V charging system can add around 208 miles of range in 10 minutes.

The CLA has been on sale in Europe since mid-2025, and demand has already pushed delivery timelines into late 2026 already.

As Mercedes-Benz celebrates 140 years since Carl Benz patented the automobile, the CLA’s win looks to be a great start to a special year for the brand.
