Late on Friday afternoon, our paint and body technician Chris got into the booth our 1969 Audi 70L to lay down its first coats of colours as well as a very interesting new product that we’re trying out on our Audi project.
It’s a more eco-friendly clear coat from Lechler – as part of our sustainability drive, we have decided to try this out alongside our several years of using water-based paints. It flashes off with less solvent, it cures out a lower temperature, has parts of its chemistry which are from renewable sources and is all round better for the environment and our painters. So, here’s some photos of Chris in the booth with our 1969 Audi project.
