The day finally came for our 1987 Maserati BiTurbo to fire back into life after years of laying dormant. The Bridge Classic Cars have spent the last few weeks preparing for the 1980’s performance coupe for this moment, double checking and rechecking every hose and fitting in preparation. Jon, John and Will have been working alongside eachother towards the same goal, hearing the 2.5-litre twin-turbo V6 burst into life.

On the button, the car burst into life. After a smokey start (various coatings and oils usual burn off on the initial start up) the team worked with our specialist engine builder to get the car running and idling, which required the team to go back and forth double checking the cooling system, iginition system and the exhaust/turbos. However, with the car running, the team seem to be getting false readings on the initial timing which they will be working on soon to rectify and get the car ready to hit the road.
