Lunaz is a classic car restoration company that converts classics into EVs. As controversial as this may be to the hardcore classic car enthusiast, the Silverstone-based company has reported a 150% increase in export demand across the US, Europe, and the Middle East.
This seems to show that there appears to be a growing global demand for electrified and modernised versions of iconic British luxury cars, including Aston Martin, Bentley, Jaguar, Range Rover, and Rolls-Royce.
Rising Order Values and Secondary Market Appreciation
Lunaz has also seen an 18% rise in order values. This is mainly due to increased investment in rare models, detailed customisation, and advanced engineering features. Also, the first secondary market transactions for Lunaz-built vehicles has shown a 22% valuation increase, again, pointing to an increased demand.
“Lunaz was created to write the next chapters in the incredible stories of the most celebrated cars in British automotive history. The growth of our export business, along with the appreciating value of Lunaz cars offered to the secondary market, demonstrates a global appreciation for the Lunaz proposition: to marry cutting-edge technology and exceptional driving dynamics with the style of an era when beauty was the only requirement. This success lays the foundation for many years of growth, ensuring that we can continue developing and nurturing the very best restoration, engineering, and design talent. Indeed, these results are a testament to the breadth of capability within our team here in Silverstone, as they elevate these cars to a peerless standard for a growing and vibrant global customer base.”

A Growing Business
Orders continue to come into Lunaz from international markets, including the US, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Belgium, France, Monaco, and India. That being said, 35% of the company’s order book through 2026 is for UK-based customers. Many of these buyers are first-time classic car owners who love the history and stories that come with classics but prefer a more modern style of driving.
Lunaz’s meticulous restoration process involves over 5,500 hours of bare-metal work, allowing customers to collaborate with the company’s specialists to create truly personalized builds. The result is a car that retains its vintage charm while offering modern usability, enhanced performance, and state-of-the-art technology.

Unique Builds
Lunaz’s service covers a lot more than just electric powertrains and performance upgrades. Customers have commissioned highly personalised builds, including a cigar smoking suite integrated into a 1956 Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud!
Lunaz has also seen rising demand for customised Range Rover Classics, with clients commissioning vehicles tailored for both off-road adventures and urban luxury.
