The recently arrived 1978 MG B GT has been into the Bridge Classic Cars workshop for our technician to check over and carry out a thorough inspection on the classic British sports car.
”A few issues flagged up such as the perished clutch flexi hose which has a bulge restricting flow hence the pedal being slow to return. The rear brake flexi is cracked. Coolant hose from rad top is leaking onto the thermostat housing. The heater valve is leaking also.
The underside is rusted in a couple of points, the ns wing to sill is rusted through and so is the inner sill as you can see in with a torch. The rear boot floor is separated from the bumper is multiple spots and there is only the fixings at the top of the bumper holding it on.
The rust isn’t structural and not within 30cm of the seatbelt mounts so shouldn’t be an issue.”
”Adjusted tappets replaced plugs, oil, filter, steering rack boot which was leaking. Fuel filter and added a new header tank overflow pipe as was missing.”
