INEOS has made some updates to the 2026 model of the Grenadier. As it’s now in its third full year of production, the brand wanted to further improve the Grenadier’s everyday usability while maintaining its off-road capability too.

The most impactful update is a reworked steering setup. A newly developed variable-ratio steering box tightens up the feel around the straight-ahead position. This provides better high-speed stability and more confident handling without affecting the Grenadier’s off-road ability, thanks to an unchanged ratio at full lock. The turning circle has also been reduced by around 5%, so manoeuvrability is improved.

Other updates include upgraded climate control components and revised advanced driver assistance systems. One additional change, which is always a good one for me, is a new shortcut that allows drivers to mute the mandatory Intelligent Speed Assist alert with a single tap. Reducing distractions while driving is always a good thing!

“We’ve continuously enhanced and upgraded the Grenadier since its launch, but this is the most significant improvement so far. And it means the 2026 models are the most rounded and most accomplished yet. It’s easier and more fun to enjoy every day and for every journey (and with a faster way to switch off the annoying ADAS alerts we are forced to fit). And with all that, it’s our best Grenadier yet, with enhanced appeal to an even broader range of customers.”

INEOS Grenadier Black Edition

Also new for 2026 is the Black Edition. Based on the Fieldmaster trim, this special model is offered in both station wagon and Quartermaster pick-up forms. It features a uniform Inky Black paint finish with matching gloss black 18-inch alloys, a black grille, dark skid plates, privacy glass, and a lockable spare wheel storage box. Inside, it has a dark headliner and carpeted floors.

The Black Edition is priced from £71,995, with order books open now. It’s not a limited-edition in terms of volume, but it will only be produced for a set period of time.

Elsewhere in the range, pricing remains unchanged for 2026. The Grenadier Commercial starts at £51,930 (ex VAT), while both the Quartermaster pick-up and standard Grenadier begin at £62,495. The higher-spec Trialmaster and Fieldmaster editions remain at £69,995.
