The Hot Wheels Legends Tour is back in the UK for 2025, looking for a car that will be turned into a 1:64 scale die-cast model.
This is the fifth UK edition of the global competition, which is now in its eighth year overall. The winning vehicle will not only be made into a Hot Wheels toy but will also earn a place in the Hot Wheels Garage of Legends™ – a collection that celebrates the most iconic and imaginative builds from around the world.
The judging takes place on 23rd August at the NEC in Birmingham during Slammed UK’s Gravity Show. There, three shortlisted finalists will present their vehicles live to a panel made up of Hot Wheels designer Craig Callum, content creator Mat Armstrong, and presenter Nicola Hume. This year’s UK winner will then go on to compete in the European final, with a place at the Global Grand Finale in the US up for grabs. As part of the prize, the UK winner will also travel to El Segundo, California, for the final stop of the US tour.

Entries are open now and close on 4th July. Anyone with a vehicle that shows strong design, character, and originality is encouraged to apply. Modified classics, track builds, restomods, customs, off-roaders and even trucks are all welcome, as long as they embody what Hot Wheels calls “garage spirit”.
The UK has developed a strong reputation in the competition. Previous entries have regularly progressed to the global stage, with the 1969 Volvo P1800 Gasser taking overall victory in 2021 – the first non-US winner of the tour. Last year’s UK finalist, the Bentley-inspired Mini ‘Mentley’, continued that run of success.
Entries can be submitted with just three photos and a short write-up at hotwheelsuklegendstour.co.uk. The competition is supported by Smyths Toys Superstores, Forge Motorsport, and Collecting Cars, with the UK winner also receiving a Hot Wheels merchandise bundle and a £150 Forge Motorsport voucher.
