H&H Classics is hosting its next auction at The Pavilion Gardens in Buxton on Wednesday 21st May 2025. “The Peaks Sale” will feature over 130 classic, collector, and performance cars with a combined estimated value of more than £3 million.

One car of note is a 1960 Maserati 3500 GT. Beautifully restored and showing minimal mileage since a comprehensive engine overhaul, the Italian grand tourer is expected to sell for between £140,000 and £160,000. Fewer than 2,000 Coupes were ever built, so this one will likely be appealing to collectors.

The oldest of the lots is a 1923 Wolseley 10 E3 Four-Seat Tourer. With just four known survivors, this incredible pre-war example has an estimated sale price of £8,000 to £10,000.

“With temperatures decidedly on the increase, our auction on 21st May is the perfect opportunity to own a classic to be enjoyed in the summer sun. There’s also a fantastic variety of lots which will appeal to enthusiasts, whatever age of vehicle, style or marque they have an interest in.”

James McWilliam, sales manager at H&H Classics

There will also be a low-mileage 1997 Bentley Azure up for sale. It has covered less than 11,000 miles from new and is estimated to sell for £65,000–£75,000.

Another attention-grabbing car is a 1962 Mercedes-Benz 190 SL. With an estimate of £60,000–£80,000, it’s one of just 562 right-hand drive models built and comes with a fresh engine rebuild and long-term ownership history.

A personal favourite is a 1989 Lotus Esprit Turbo ‘40th Anniversary’. Number four of just 40 made for the UK market, this stunning car comes with an estimate of £20,000–£30,000.

The auction will also include ten vehicles from the ‘Loch Lomond Collection’, covering classics from the 1950s through the 1970s. Each was chosen for condition and authenticity.

One of the 19 no-reserve lots is a 1979 Daimler DS420 Limousine reportedly used by Princess Anne and Princess Diana during Royal visits to Stratford-upon-Avon.
