The fabrication shop here at the Bridge Classic Cars restoration workshops is where art truly meets craftsmanship. Our fabricator Clinton has decades of experience working with all sorts of metals to create works of art which are sometimes seldom seen – for example, these bonnet hinges for our Aston Martin DB2/4’s.

Originally, we had bought a set of replacement pieces but when they arrived they just weren’t up to our standards. Those standards happen to be exacting and unwavering in our endless pursuit for perfection. So, Clinton has created these new hinges using what was left of the originals after sandblasting. Each individual piece has been hand cut and shaped to perfectly fit the bonnets of our handbuilt Aston Martin’s with each piece being minutely adjusted to fit that particular car. For something that merely allows the front clamshell to open and close, they’re works of art in themselves.
