Our workshop manager John has been working on the 1944 Ford GPW Jeep over the past few days in order to get it back on the road and running perfectly. First step was getting the 4-cylinder engine to fire up and run properly. John removed the carburettor and stripped it down for inspection as well as cleaning. As with everything the team does, we also blew compressed air through the fuel lines to remove any blockages before changing the fuel filter and running it remotely on fresh fuel.

After John was happy that the jeep was running correctly he could take it out on road test as part of the cars appraisal by the team. After coming back, John wanted to inspect the braking system on the car and found 1 of the wheel cylinders were leaking. The wheel cylinder was ordered and whilst John awaited the part, he could begin stripped down the brakes to thoroughly check and rebuild them.
