As our 1996 Mercedes SL600 was won by lucky winner Mark last week, the team in the Bridge Classic Cars workshop have been working their way through the 1990’s V12 roadster to get it ready for its new owner. As with all of our competition cars, the Mercedes had a thorough PDI carried out as well an oil and filter change. Include in the cars PDI were to test the roof, fit the hardtop, top up the hydraulic reservoirs for the suspension as well as access the air filters to be thoroughly cleaned out.
Alongside the PDI and oil change, the team had a few small repairs to carry out on the V12 sports car.
”Finish oil and filter change. Refitbung and torque up. Fill with new oil and run up. Hydraulic fluid I topped up now has too much and leaking out of cap. Clear up mess and reduce level in reservoir. Refit undershield after cleaning. Fit new entre air vent. Remove interior mirror and tighten nut. Secure on ball and refit. Put 5ltrs E5 petrol and top up oil. Take outside and warm up.”
