Pete reported that after addressing the initial leaks on our 1967 Mercedes 250SL, another issue was noted as the next weakest point was revealed. Despite two road tests and multiple run-ups showing no problems initially, the seal between the pump motor and impeller failed. This failure allowed fuel to enter the motor, filling it and causing a leak through a small ventilation hole in the casing. Efforts are now focused on sourcing parts to repair this rare fuel pump.
