Mauro, one of amazing restoration technician here at the Bridge Classic Cars HQ, has been working on getting the bottoms of the rear wings repaired on the 1973 Mercedes 250. With the bottom of the rear wings having corroded, Mauro has carefully cutaway the rust to expose healthy metal for the team to be able to weld patches into. The wings, which are made of an inner and outer skin, have been sectioned, welded and grinded back flush before Mauro can move onto the next phase of the recommissioning of this classic Mercedes.

After getting the rear of the classic German saloon car, Mauro turned his attention to the front of the car. Mauro cut back and then began to repair the front sill and part of the front wing.

Of course, whilst I was walking past I had to grab some photos of Mauro in action in the Bridge Classic Cars restoration workshop.
