Jon has been busy underneath the 1966 Jaguar E-Type which is currently undergoing some MOT repairs here at the Bridge Classic Cars restoration workshops. Jon took a look at the MOT failure report and the failure points were pretty vague… but that’s never stops our Jon (a former recent MOT tester himself).

Here’s what Jon has been up to:

”Continue mot repairs. Not able to repair in situation so strip and remove rear axle. Strap across to ramp to secure. Strip rear axle and start removing brake components for repair.”

”Continue to strip brakes. Remove calipers and handbrake linkage and calipers. Undo shocks top mounts and both drive shafts. Remove discs and brake pipes. Start cleaning parts and prepping. Shot blast and Paint caliper main body and fit new piston to one side. Clean all bolts to be reused etc.”
