As the Bridge Classic Cars team work on getting the 1955 Aston Martin DB2/4 Drophead Coupe into colour soon, they have been working in conjunction with our fabrication shop. Mauro, one of our paint and body technicians has been getting all of the panels levelled and perfected for the classic Aston Martin. Whilst inspecting the doors and coming up with a gameplan, he noticed an issue with the drivers side door and got our fabricator Greg to come and take a look.

Greg removed the door and took it into our fabrication shop where he cut out the area in question to the carefully shrink it and then welded it back into place, giving Mauro a much better and even surface to work from.

Whilst the door was in the fabrication shop, Adam took up the task of getting the classic convertible levelled and blocked back ready for polyfan. Each gap, surface and curve is carefully inspected while using the oldest tool in the bodyworking industry, feel, to make sure everything lay level and perfect.
