The restoration team have been making good progress on the 1953 Aston Martin DB2/4. Ben, along with our technician Steve, have been building up the doors for the classic GT car here at the Bridge Classic Cars workshops.
The window regulators have been carefully installed into the doors along with the cleaned and polished glass. Once these were in place, the guys could fit the door cards as well as top cap and all the chrome trim back onto the car.
Once the windows were installed in the front doors, Ben could begin work on the rear seat. The original blocks for the rear seat had dried and rotted over all these years, so using the original as a template, he cut new blocks. Also during the test fit, Ben has begun to work out the packing to make the trims fit square.
