Following a visit from the customer, technician John carried out the requested work on our 1980 TVR 3000S by plumbing in the centre vents. He modified the elbows so they fitted correctly onto the vents, and found that the pipe passing through the bulkhead lined up almost perfectly. It was deliberately left slightly longer to allow the customer to decide the final routing.

John then refitted the dashboard along with the steering column surround, raising the steering column slightly to achieve a closer and more accurate fit between the column and the dashboard.

With everything back in place, he hopes that the dashboard will not have to be removed again. John also removed the windscreen surround after Kevin, the windscreen fitter, requested that it was painted to improve the seal when the windscreen was installed. It was cleaned in preparation for painting, and John made slight alterations so the chrome trim would fit more effectively once refitted.
