The Bridge Classic Cars team have welcomed back an old friend, this 1963 Morris LD. The Bridge Classic Cars team worked on this very classic van a few years ago and it has recently come back into our Suffolk HQ to recommission and get running again in the hands of our skilled workshop manager, John.
”Looking into the non starting of the morris. The battery was changed and old battery put on charge. The fuel pump wasn’t working so a tempary pump was fitted. The fuel lines turned out to be porus so new tempary lines were fitted. The carburtor was primed and the morris was turned over. After a few cranks with no response it was checked for a spark and found there was no spark. It had been converted to electronic ignition so a new cool was tried first with no results so it the distributor was converted back to points and condenser. With a new LT wire made up. The van then started. We were unable to test drive as the clutch appears to be stuck on.”
