The Royal Automobile Club has announced the finalists for its seventh annual Historic Awards. These awards are all about celebrating excellence across the UK’s historic motoring and motorsport industries.
Winners will be announced at the awards ceremony on Thursday 20th November at the Club’s Pall Mall headquarters in London.
Recognised as one of the top awards in Britain’s classic car calendar, the Awards cover a wide range of categories from restorations and events to journalism and innovation. Winners are decided by a judging panel made up of an independent panel of experts.

In addition to the category winners, the evening will also see the presentation of the Royal Automobile Club Lifetime Achievement Award, which honours a significant long-term contribution to British motoring or motorsport heritage.
“The Club has been recognising achievement for over 125 years, and these Awards continue that proud tradition by celebrating the hidden talents within the historic vehicle scene. There’s so much inspiring work taking place, and we’re here to celebrate, and reward, the most inspirational people. We do this, of course, by bringing everyone together in London for a very special evening. But we also engage a remarkable team of independent judges to help us identify the leading candidates and assess the finalists. It’s quite a process, but this kind of event is the lifeblood of the Club, it builds on our unique heritage of recognising and supporting British achievement.”
Jeremy Vaughan, Head of Motoring for the Royal Automobile Club
This year’s judging panel includes people from across the historic motoring world, including journalists, editors, organisers, and commentators such as Sarah Bennett-Baggs, Alastair Clements, Steve Cropley, Vanessa Marçais, Lizzie Pope, Simon Taylor, Ian Titchmarsh, and Allan Winn.
