With the TR6 scheduled to leave the Bridge Classic Cars workshop, the car was brought in by our technician Jon to finish up the last few bits and pieces on the classic British sports car to get it ready for its new home.

‘Strip and fit new throttle cable. Adjust carb spindle to remove some freeplay. Adjust cable and adjust pedal stop. Run and test OK. Strip and remove cooling fan.

Fit new cooling fan. Build up on bench with new bushes and sleeves etc. Mount to car and secure. Take outside and fill with synthetic fuel. Carry out road test. Noise from front. Could be bonnet stay so apply sticky back foam and retry. Better but still has noise. Steering wheel also squeaks so lube and check, ok. Throttle a little sticky. Found nylon roller on linkage seized. Free off . Test round yard. Wait for ramp to check underneath and grease up.’

Then, the classic sports car could be handed over to our logistics team to get the car loaded up and ready to be on its way to its new excited owner.
