The Goodwood Festival of Speed 2025 is now finished!

We were lucky enough to be there, and it was another incredible event, albeit an extremely hot and sweaty one.

Celebrating 75 Years of Formula 1

The 2025 Goodwood Festival of Speed had a heavy focus on Formula 1. It was all part of the celebration of three-quarters of a century of the sport. There were former world champions in attendance, so many F1 cars, and some of these were even driven by some legendary drivers.

No matter where you were in the grounds of the Goodwood Estate, you couldn’t help but hear the F1 cars warming up and sprinting up the hill.

One of the many Formula 1-related highlights was when Nigel Mansell drove his championship-winning FW14B.

Red Arrows

Of course, there was the flyover from the Red Arrows. This always generates lots of attention, and this year was no different. In fact, the flyover was probably the only thing to take people away from watching the wide array of vehicles heading up the hill.

The Red Arrows are a regular feature at the Festival of Speed, but they always have a big impact.

Goodwood Festival of Speed – Our Highlights

The Corvette E-Ray Makes Its UK Debut:

The 2025 Chevrolet Corvette E-Ray has officially been revealed in the UK, making its debut at this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed. It’s the first electrified, all-wheel-drive Corvette, and it looks incredible!

This new Corvette has been designed to give everyday usability without compromising on raw performance. Offered as both a coupe and a convertible, the E-Ray is priced from £153,440 (coupe) and £159,230 (convertible). Right-hand drive models are now available to order, with deliveries starting this September.

The all-new Corvette E-Ray has a 6.2-litre LT2 V8, delivering 482hp to the rear axle. It’s paired with a front-mounted electric motor producing 161hp, powered by a 1.9kWh battery between the seats. Together, they produce a combined 643hp. This is enough to launch the E-Ray from 0 to 62mph in just 2.9 seconds, making it the quickest production Corvette ever to be available in the UK.

This set-up also means that the E-Ray doesn’t need to be plugged in. Instead, the battery charges itself through regenerative braking, coasting, and daily driving. You can read more about the new E-Ray here.

MG IM5 And IM6 Revealed With Cyberster Black And Cyber X

MG has revealed two new all-electric models at this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed. The new MG IM5 saloon and MG IM6 SUV fit under MG’s “Intelligence in Motion” banner, which is all about combining cutting-edge tech with performance and everyday usability.

The IM5 is an executive saloon that offers up to 441 miles of range with its 100kWh battery and an 800V architecture capable of 10–80% recharging in 17 minutes. The IM5 is also quick, accelerating from 0-62mph in 3.2 seconds.

That being said, the IM6 SUV isn’t far behind with a 0-62mph time of 3.5 seconds. Both cars are powered by MG’s Hurricane electric motors and feature a digital chassis for sharper handling.

The Cyberster Black was also on display at the Festival of Speed. Although this is the same Cyberster already available, this model has a matte black finish, which is enhanced with ultra-fine glass particles that shimmer in motion.

Designed by Jozef Kaban, this version of the Cyberster features blacked-out chrome and interior details which add a whole new look to the Cyberster we already know.

The Cyber X concept was also being shown off by MG. This has been designed to be a rugged urban EV with a futuristic edge. Its matte grey paint, pop-up headlights, and compact stance hint at MG’s currently evolving design language and its ambitions for the Cyber sub-brand.
