As the 1953 Aston Martin DB2/4 restoration project is on the march towards getting back on the road for the first time in decades. Our restoration technician Steve has been heading up the reassembly of the rare and handbuilt classic GT car, with this time refurbishing the cast exhaust manifolds.

After cleaning up, sandblasting, and then cleaning one more time – Steve has refinished the exhuast in specific high temperature paint designed to protect the peices from corrosion later down the later.

Whilst the paint dried on the exhaust manifolds, Steve could get the wiper motors mounted into the car.

After being test fit and checked, Steve could finally mount the motor under the bonnet of the classic Aston Martin.
